Does my child need to be diagnosed with ASD to access your services?

Nope! Services are designed to suit the needs of the individual. Initial consultation calls and/or ABA Therapy Assessments are the best way to determine individual suitability for our programs but a diagnosis is not required to begin this process.

Why do you have waitlist?

As of 2026, we do not currently have a waitlist for ABA services. Growing our team has allowed us to expand availability and support more families without extended wait times! High-quality, individualized services are a core value here at Dragonfly which means that we prioritize hiring and training skilled team members as well as ensuring a suitable match between client and therapist.

I don’t have my OAP funding yet, should I still join the waitlist?

Yes! We encourage families to join the wait-list ASAP to ensure quick access to services when funding becomes available. If you reach the top of the list before your funding arrives, we will maintain your spot in the queue while servicing the next family on the waitlist.

Where do Services occur?

ABA Therapy Services are delivered directly in your home here in Renfrew County or other settings your child may spend their days including childcare centers and extracurriculars. ABA Therapy services can also be delivered virtually, however this is determined on a case-by-case basis and should be discussed upon intake.

Caregiver Support Services all occur virtually and are available to those residing in Renfrew County as well as across Ontario.

Can Sessions Occur at My Child’s School?

Dragonfly does not currently have a Memorandum of Understanding in place with Renfrew County school boards. However, we encourage each family to explore this option with their school administrative team.

Who needs to attend sessions?

Ideally, the primary caregiver(s) would attend all ABA sessions in home. However, we understand this is not always realistic, therefore we simply require a pre-approved adult caregiver to be present during all ABA sessions.
